Audio: Victoria Borwick on the MPA's civil liberties panel report

Victoria Borwick chairs the Metropolitan Police Authority\'s Civil Liberties Panel, which was set up last year by the MPA\'s then deputy chair (since promoted to chair) Kit Malthouse. The Panel\'s inquiry into the Met\'s policing of the April 2009 G20 demonstrations was its first major piece of work. Its draft report is now published following meetings with demonstrators, representatives of the media and officers of various ranks and watching the training police are given for dealing with public protests. Its findings take on board the work already done by Her Majesty\'s Inspector of Constabulary and the Parliamentary Home Affairs Committee. Here she discusses some of report\'s main themes in advance of its discussion by a full meeting of the MPA on Thursday.
