EMI, Apple to sell DRM-free songs online (AP)

Jobs was at the launch of digital rights management (DRM) free recordings that EMI will make available on the Apple ITunes website from May 2007. The so called new premium downloads will be available at a higher quality and with DRM removed for 0.99 pence sterling (US$ 1.29, euro1.29). Apple will be the first online store to offer this service. The deal, however, doesn\'t include music from the label\'s biggest act, The Beatles.
