World Unites to Celebrate Peace Day 2020
Thousands of groups and organisations around the world are coming together to celebrate the UN International Day of Peace with a global broadcast and multiple online summits running from Saturday September 19 through to Monday September 21. This historic collaboration of global institutions and grassroots organisations builds upon the inaugural World UNITY Week commemorated earlier in June this year. The Peace Weekend Global Broadcast is showcasing dozens of events from around the world celebrating the International Day of Peace and launching the coming decade of global initiatives for peace, unity and for achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. The global event is an initiative of UNITY EARTH and is proudly sponsored by Purpose Earth.
